Silver ^^ We were a bit delayed posting this week due to internet issues. Thankfully, we were able to work things out with our helpful service provider to bring the pupdate to you today :) Jazz is working on fully weaning the pups. She has been a nurturing mom, patient with and concerned about her litter. Although she's needing a good brushing and was damp from melting snow, imo she looks pretty good for being 5 weeks post partum. :)
Everyone got nails trimmed and new collars this week. I also started doing some simple pre-training with the pups. These are what the first few days of training look like. **As with all video links, click on video once link opens to get full pic & sound**

We got the pups moved to the new puppy area early this past week.
The box is there in case I need to move and contain pups to clean up a mess in their crate. I've got a radio playing for sound socialization. Not my favorite choice of stations; it's one of the few channels that isn't staticky under this tin roof. Once we get the platform made (I said table in the video, lol), there will be room for some toys. Looking forward to that! We've placed a couple of crates in the kitchen so they can still spend some time with us in the midst of the action while getting used to crates, too. As well, training takes place in our main living area. When they're in the pup area, they spend some time with Jazz, and otherwise I'm in and out regularly doing things with them. They're learning that the ones that sit get attention. We're heading into kidding season here, so pups need to be able to keep their area pretty clean by the time we go full bore down at the barn. I actually made this a subject for prayer. I can happily state that for the past 3 days, they've kept their BM's and most of their pee contained in the potty area, ptL! :)
Relatives came to visit the pups this week. We *love* having people come to spend time with them. The pups loved the attention and were a big hit <3 Everybody wanted to take one home :)

I took Silver on a car ride in a crate by himself this week. He handled it like a champ! No nausea, & whining was almost non existent. :) Opal - saddleback sable (f)
Opal was at the tail end of a long photoshoot and the camera battery was running out of juice, so In lieu of more pics, here's a very brief clip of Opal taken earlier in the day.

My list is filling quickly. We have a couple spots remaining. If you're interested in this litter (or want to be on a wait list for a future litter), please fill out our Application Form. If you've filled out a form and have decided you definitely want a pup (subject to suitable temperament test), please contact me to arrange deposit to hold your spot. (Deposit holds either a girl or boy spot for you, rather than a specific pup at this time, then at 7 wks, specific pup is confirmed through consultation with you.) If you've already sent a deposit, you're on the confirmed owner list. Deposit is fully refundable if we find at the 7 wk temperament test that we don't have a pup that's suitable for your needs.
