Updated Jun 2022

Located in the beautiful Canadian Peace Country, we raised health tested, registered purebred Boers, Nubians & a few NDs.

Swan Ridge Goats dispersed the majority of the herd in Aug 2020 and changed our name to Swan Ridge Farm.
I have added links to reference pages for all our previously owned goats (or at least, to what the old, out-of-date-gallery glitches haven't erased anyway...), so that previous buyers can still access as much info on their goats' lineages as possible.

As well, please feel free to check out our fb photo albums for reference lineage information & pics for the various goats.

*Thank you to all those who have supported our business over the years.*

We kept back a FB Boer buck, Lodestar - out of

Du Biquet Silhouette by COOL BREEZE DYNASTY'S REIGN MAKER, and a bred Boer doe, Ruby, that both needed some more time to develop. In 2021 Ruby had 2 bucklings sired by 2 different bucks. Goliath is a 99% Boer DNA tested as sired by Corkery Post's Tardus. He's developing beautifully. Pipsqueak is a polled, blue eyed 50/50 Boer / Nigerian Dwarf sired by Wonderland NF Sunset Caper.

This year we had a large litter of English Shepherd puppies that needed supplemental feedings. We spent $25 / day to feed them goats' milk formula. Since Pipsqueak's half sister (same sire) has a nice, productive ff udder, we retained him to breed in 2022 to our LaMancha doe, Hope. Down the road if we decide we like them, we may invest in a LM buck. Either way, hopefully we'll have some of our own milk on hand next time we need it!

At this point in time, we plan to keep our registered
Armenian Gampr livestock guardian dogs, our English Shepherd herding dogs as well as some poultry.

We have since added 3 registered Kune Kune pigs, and 2 crossbred medium sized cows (Lowline, Dexter, Mini Hereford), along with a pregnant belted Galloway cow & calf pair. All have since had 2022 babies. See our Current Stock page for pics.

We hope to, on occasion, have the odd pig, goat or steer - or meat from such - so will post those on our For Sale page whenever we have something available.

Please Note!

As of midnight Nov 30, 2020, my website is required to undergo an update that has already screwed up my English Shepherd Blog.

I have been working with Wix with the hope of sorting out the Blog before compounding the mess by allowing the website update. However, there are still significant problems on the Blog (like undesirable formatting and significant date changes), and I've run out of time before they will automatically update this website :'(

SO... if you're on here and it's messed up and not making much sense... Please be aware that I'm doing my best to try to get things sorted. This update is NOT of my choosing!!
