RHG1 Coal N Cotton (CNC)
Legend's Dam, Diva
DOB: February 03 2013 100% full blood buck. Shown in rut and pasture fed condition. Clean 2 x 2 teated.
CNC is a sweet natured guy whose sire is Bon Joli/Lazy St Copper Spots, an own son of Copperhead, who is one of the leading dappled Boer sires in the world. His line is also known to be more parasite resistant than some.
In addition, CNC's paternal grandam was a sister to Sir Spotsalot, who was arguably one of the best bred dappled goats ever.
That combination in one package is rare and CNC brought those genetics to Canada :)
CNC's maternal great grandsire was K&R's Tuff enough. He's a sire of merit who earned several grand championships, as well as passed on noteable length and muscling to his offspring.
His dam's side also boasts such names as Static & Mr League D61.
This well bred buck gives the added bonus that he is Black and White Spotted, from many generations of colored Boers, with the conformation to go to the show ring.
Coal N Cotton was imported from the States. He is a proven breeder who typically settles his does first time round, his kids are all better than he is- one of those rare finds that out produces himself no matter what doe he is bred to, and generally throws about 95% color on his offspring.
CNC gave us some beautiful kids before passing in May 2016.
SwanRidge JJireh CNC Bloom's Splash
Splash is a home grown boy. A son of CNC (above) and one of our best does, Treeline Bound to Bloom, we're going to miss him here. However, since we kept several doelings both from him and his 1/2 brothers, we need to add new blood. So, he is making his home elsewhere and will hopefully make wonderful colored commercial babies.
SwanRidge JJireh SIR Genie's Garnet - SOLD
Garnet is another home grown boy, and one I was sure I was going to hold onto. From the get go, he was the widest buckling I've ever had here. A son of Rich and another one of our main does, Treeline Genie, he was one I really wanted to keep. But, reality is we can only look after so much stock by ourselves, especially over the winter, and I am having to make some really hard decisions about who stays. However I am keeping a doeling from him to try to preserve his genetics in the herd, and we are also keeping a 1/2 sister.
Garnet is a traditional 97% CP Boer buck by Pryme Strike it Rich out of Treeline Genie, Teated 1x1, DOB May 8, 2017 He is from hardy genetics on both sides.
Picture is Rich at 21 months. On hay and sparse pasture/browse alone. NO grain
Pryme Strike it Rich (Rich), SOLD
Full Blood traditional Boer buck from Pryme farms in Ontario. DOB Jan 2014, Teated 2x2
Rich is a hardy, efficient young goat with excellent feet who has been raised on hay and sparse browse/pasture alone. Rich's sire is BL1 Lindsay Acres Ultra's Poisedon VG89. He boasts a quantity of ennobled animals from his sire, RRG1 KIMBER'S ULTRA ELITE's lineage. Rich's dam is Pryme Give it to Me Baby VG86, a long bodied young daughter of ACR GS Tarzan's Yankee Doodle EX (3rd buck in CMGA history to classify EX), who goes back to Tarzan T66 (A South African FB who, among other winnings, was pronounced the 2001 Australian National Reserve Champion Boer Buck, and The IBGA 2002 Western National Grand Champion Buck in the States).& Kindred Tazu lines.Another really nice deep bodied Poseidon son, Rich excels in breed character and bone. While the Kindred Tazu line is renowned for their reliability, production & low maintenance, yet they still don't give up anything on the type evaluation card either! Pryme has kept Rich's dam & her littermate sister working in their herd and because they have been so impressed with them they bought a littermate brother back a few years ago to use in their herd! These are genetics worth having!
