An informal clip of Gemma with her mama at 4 months of age. I particularly liked how she responded to the clattery pan, and that she quickly came away from the restricted area when reproved by me.

Video of Gemma doing a 'sit on the dog' exercise with me in November. She's learning patience and how to have alone and down time. Really pleased with how she's coming along. (For the last part she was keeping a close eye on our ninja tomcat who likes to attack her out of the blue).

And, a short vid of her playing with pregnant Misty. Lots of distraction, took a couple of corrections to sit, but then did so nicely. LOVE that Misty is accepting this newer addition so far in spite of being preggo hormonal. But then, Misty is my 'zen' girl - very self contained with a naturally calm nature :) 

Update Sept 2022. Gemma is everything I've been aiming for in a dog from here. Sweet, playful, intelligent, biddable, nurturing, structurally beautiful. She truly is a gem!

I took her for a brief visit to the big city in Aug of 2025. She was curious and it was obviously all new to her, but handled the new environment very well. Wish I could have stayed longer and gotten more videos, as I did manage to go for a trike ride with her before heading home. That also went well, but I had no one with me to manage the camcorder. 

Gemma had a litter Sept 2023 with Copper. The six pups (4b,2g) were lovely.
I've completed an update blog I compiled about them. 

We were so happy with them, we bred her to Copper again in Feb 2026. Her 9 pups arrived April 8. They are lovely pups! There are 2 males remaining: Iker (a tricolor) and iO (a sable & white like his mom).
